The Stoughton girls swimming team defeated Baraboo 107-49 in a Badger Small Conference dual on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Stoughton High School.
The Vikings finished first in nine events, including sweeping the meet’s three relays.
Cheyenne Borroughs and Ainsley Gerard were both part of four Stoughton wins. Borroughs won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2 minutes, 13.02 seconds. She added a top finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.86. Gerard took the top spots in both the 100 butterfly (1:06.89) and the 100 backstroke (1:06.86).
Borroughs and Gerard teamed up with Jenna Rotar and Amara Richter to win the 200 medley relay in 2:03.35. The same Viking group won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:51.27. Stoughton added another relay win in the 400 free relay. The group of Cate Ehle, Mecheznie De Bruin, Josie Korish and Abby Schmidt went 4:39.65.
De Bruin won the 100 freestyle in 1:06.77. Ehle finished first in the 500 free in 6:57.45.
