A car accident, which broke a gas line, was reported in Stephens late Saturday evening.
According to the vehicle crash report from the Ouachita County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle was traveling southbound on North First Street heading towards Magnolia when it lost control.
The vehicle reportedly ran off the westbound side of the road where it struck a utility pole and a gas meter.
The report says the driver of the vehicle reported a failure of his brakes at the time of the accident.
Stephens Fire Department was called to the scene due to a gas leak, reported as being caused when the vehicle struck the gas meter, breaking the line at that point.
Summit Utilities was also notified of the broken gas line and was called out to turn off the gas.
No injuries were listed in the report.
