Watertown's 200 freestyle relay team from left of Ella Williams, Leah Salva, Lydia Meyers and Addi Lambert qualified for the Division 1 state swim meet with a fifth place finish at the Germantown sectional on Saturday. The Goslings touched out in a new school record time of 1 minute, 41.81 seconds.
GERMANTOWN — Watertown's 200 freestyle relay team of sophomore Ella Williams, juniors Leah Salva and Lydia Meyers, and sophomore Addi Lambert qualified for the WIAA State Girls Swimming and Diving Championships after placing fifth in a school record time of 1 minute, 41.81 seconds at the Division 1 Germantown sectional on Saturday.
The Goslings bettered the school record time of 1:42.92 set last season. They are the 23rd seeded team in the field of 24 and will swim in Heat 1 at the Division 1 state meet at the Waukesha South Natatorium next Saturday. Swimming timed finals begin at 2:30 p.m.
