Team Secret have benched Dawid "Gruby" Marciniak. The decision comes one week after the conclusion of Europe's Esports World Cup Closed Qualifiers.
According to the team's coach Marlon "Twister" Mello, the Polish player decided to "take a break". Following the 20-year-old's decision, Team Secret have already opened trials to find his substitute.
The Polish player joined Team Secret in September 2022 and is one of the only two players remaining from the squad that competed at the Six Invitational 2023. His best result came earlier this season, when he helped his squad to reach the quarter-finals of the BLAST R6 Major Manchester.
With Gruby stepping down from Team Secret's active roster, the organization will have to make a second change since the start of the summer transfer window, as the first one was the arrival of the former G2 Esports player Jake "Virtue" Grannan to replace Luiz "Miracle" Abrantes.
