Last Saturday, the Red Bluff High School swim team traveled to Shasta College to compete in the Masters Section Championship Meet. The girls 200-free relay team, comprised of Aralynn Winstead-Stroing, Kinsey Woefel, Paige Ericksen, and Emery Plemons, brought home the gold and earned a Section Title with a time of 1:48.06.
The same relay team placed second in the 200 Medley relay with a time of 2:01.29. The girls team placed fourth out of 18 teams.
Senior Aralynn Winstead-Stroing finished second in the 100 Breaststroke (1:13.26) and fourth in the 100 Free (1:00.39). Senior Kinsey Woelfel finished third in the 50 Free (26.87) and fifth in the 100 Free (1:02.07).
Sophomore Emery Plemons picked up a pair of silver medals in the 100 Back (1:05.57), which is the second fastest time in school history, and in the 200 Freestyle (2:12.65), which is the sixth fastest time in school history. Junior Paige Ericksen placed third in the 100 Fly (1:08.30) and sixth in the 100 Back (1:11.79). Misha Madero took eighth place in the 50 Free (29.15). Livia Stevers captured a sixth place in the 50 Free (28.34) and a 14th place in the 100 Free (1:06.94).
Sophomore Levi Ward led the boys’ team, finishing sixth in the 100 Breaststroke (1:11.23) and 13th in the 50 Free (25.96). Freshman Tan Fish earned 11th place in the 100 Fly (1:08.21).
